Happy 2013! Plenty of snow was seen in London and most part of the UK.
A Hero’s Welcome Central London was at a stand still today. 800 TeamGB Olympians and Paralympians on 21 floats received a hero’s welcome. I managed to grab a good vantage point near Charing Cross and snapped a few photos, and I put together videos clips that were taken.
I was lucky enough to get a ticket for the Olympic women’s volleyball event for £45. This gives me a chance to support Team GB – in the historic Earl’s Court exhibition centre in West London. Along the way approaching the venue was a barricaded street soaked with a joyful party atmosphere on a sunny Friday afternoon. […]
Uxbridge Road in Shepherds Bush made it into Olympic history book today. On the penultimate, 69th day of the London 2012 Olympic torch relay, with torch bearer Sophie Papps changed over to Oyinkansola Towry-Cokerrelay; and the convoy passed by effortlessly via Bloemfontein Road into Uxbridge Road under a hot, 28C summer sun.
